For the Bombay Beach Biennale, we took the project Rooms further, by having Leilani perform live in the motion capture suit, with gestures to initiate and end Body-Looping Sequences. In this piece, she plays with the duality of man and inherent human nature, the push and pull, the chase and flight of two lovers, two friends, two siblings. By controlling her avatars live and in real-time, it added to the esthetic complexity of the choreography between the performer and the digital avatars.
This was performed at the Bombay Beach Drive-In with the projection on the abandoned truck for the closing of the festival.
The avatars and all other environments were rendered and coded by Codercat Studio
